No stops at Weldborough for pick ups, no long lunch breaks - for riders who are on mission and can't slow down - Blue Tier + Atlas EXPRESS

The Blue Tier is a stunning ~18km mountain bike adventure trail flowing down through sub alpine plains, Myrtle Beech forests, idyllic mossy rivulets, groves of giant tree ferns, ending with the epic Big Chook descent. After a relaxed lunch at the historic Weldborough Pub the ride continues! Atlas, a white-knuckle ~10km roller coaster ride, leads into Dambusters, one of the fastest and most thrilling descents found in Blue Derby. From Dambusters riders make their way down through the Blue Derby MTB park arriving back into Derby mid afternoon.

Intermediate Trail traverses and descends through remote Tasmanian Wilderness. Not for beginners or first time MTB riders.

Please collect your bike from the VertigoMTB shop located at 66 Main Street Derby from 8am (8:30am during winter months) on the morning of your hire. Allow time for us to set up the bike for you and supplied with appropriate ride equipment in our workshop. You will need to drive to Weldborough Hotel and be waiting for the shuttle pick up there. We provide transport for our hire bikes to Weldborough and return.

Our Black Stump 3 shuttle session takes you to multiple trail head options for a variety of some fast gravity action and adventure trails. Three hour session times.

Intermediate to Advanced Riders 

• Black Stump>Shearpin>Twenty-three Stitches- A fast, exhilarating descending trail, starting with intermediate and ending with Black Diamond rating. Advanced riders.

• Upper and Lower Flickety Sticks- option for a fast blast of berms and crazy flow.  Intermediate Riders

• Return to Sender- Adventure trail that traverses the hills behind Derby and ends at the Derby Post Office. Intermediate Riders.

Level 1 Skills Clinic. Coaching from a Level 1 PMBIA certified mountain bike instructor. Riders will review the foundational techniques of mountain biking and work on progressing their skills to the next level. Whether you're looking for more speed in the berms or more in control in your braking, our instructors will help you take on the terrain of the Blue Derby Trail Network. Group coaching sessions are 2-6 riders per instructor and can be booked through our live booking calendar or you can request a date. Duration 1.5-2 hours
